Education is vital to strengthen economies, prevent poverty and improve the quality of life. In FYR Macedonia, World Bank support has been focused on improving primary education, particularly the quality of school management and the learning environment. World Bank programs in the country also emphasize access of minority groups, especially girls, to primary education.
