The World Bank is the largest funder of health projects in the world. In FYR Macedonia, it is supporting improvements in the health sector with advice and lending. One health project, which includes training of doctors and upgrading of medical equipment, is improving the quality of care for infants and has helped reduce the mortality rate among babies.
