The World Bank and other donors are supporting community participation during the design and implementation of development projects in Moldova. A Social Investment Fund supported by the World Bank finances the implementation of citizens’ ideas to tackle development problems in their communities. Some 400 mini projects have been completed to improve water supplies, health centers, schools, and roads.
