Efforts to strengthen economies, prevent
poverty and improve the quality of life can only be successful if attention is paid to education. Education equips people with the skills they need to take full advantage of economic opportunities. In Serbia, the World Bank has financed improvements in 650 primary schools and 50 secondary schools. The goal is to establish a modern system that will equip children for a prosperous future in Europe.
