World Bank analysis is helping the government identify pockets of poverty and come up with ways of addressing the needs of Turkey’s estimated 15 million people who live in poverty. World Bank programs are assisting those in greatest need, by strengthening the country’s social security system and promoting sustainable livelihoods for the poor.
