The money Uzbekistan borrows from the
World Bank is on highly concessional terms. All World Bank credits to Uzbekistan have interest rates that are lower than those offered by commercial banks. Half the credits to the country have zero interest. The country has 35 years to pay back zero-interest credits, including a ten-year grace period when no repayments are made.
